I am in distress and some WOYWW

This card is for the Tim Holtz "How do you distress?" challenge
Gingersnap Creations challenge - Quote
Drunken stampers - distressing chipboard

I had a lot of fun making this card. The image is a World of Warcraft goblin. I love those images because they can be colored green and everybody think that is just right!

My quotation is one that makes me laugh just thinking about it. Marcus have sent me some weird looks while I made this card because I just suddendly burst out laughing.

It says: "I am going to fart in your general direction". How great is that! It is taken from the Monthy Phyton film King Arthur and the holy grail. If you have not seen the film - then you really should! Watch out for that monster rabbit though!

My swirl is a chipboard that I have distressed the living daylight out of. First with Distress embossing and then I rubbed some of it off and added some more in a different color and then on top of that I added some Zing embossing here and there.

The card of course needed a scull and some metal.

Cool he?

I forgot to tell you. On the inside I have stamped some pirates scull and the sentiment
"Too much of a good thing is wonderful".

I have been wanting to play with Whats On Your Workdesk Wednsday for a while. But there is not much happening on my workdesk wednsdays. But today there was. There was a big mess!

A very big mess!
Thank you so much for stopping by! Take care! And don't forget to vote for me over at Midnight Madness!

MMSC #55 The red carpet is all layed out!

Welcome to the Midnight Madness Red carpet!

Greetings everyone and welcome to the last week of our month long Midnight Madness Blogaversary celebration. This will be the last week to get in on the Huge Potluck Blogaversary Candy Giveaway and our May monthly sponsors prize that is being awarded to 5 people! We have had a blast with you at the dance party and the barbecue and now we have one more surprise for our final festivity.

For the last week of our gala event we are rolling out the red carpet and are about to embark on a yearly Blogaversary tradition….....

In honor of the person who started the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge, the design team unanimously chose to name this very special award the
"Priscilla Award".

Priscilla has inspired, encouraged, motivated, and stimulated everyone of us in our crafting endeavors.
She has been our friend, our mentor, our confident, our sister in crafting. She is tireless in her efforts to bring you the best of the best each week and to challenge each and everyone of us to achieve greater heights than we ever thought imaginable.

She was humbled by the idea of us coming together to call it the
"Priscilla Award",
but we as the Design Team thought it was only fitting for the highest honor that someone could achieve on Midnight Madness to be named after our founding individual.
We would like to present to ONE outstanding card/craft person who is represented amongst our GOLD STAR winners of the past year, the coveted "Priscilla Award".

Not only that, but it is going to be the "PEOPLES CHOICE". What does that mean....that means that you our friends and weekly players are going to choose the winner this time!!!! We have picked 20 GOLD STAR winners.

It is with a heavy heart sharing that two of our wonderful MMDT “originals” will be stepping down to spend some much needed quality time with their families and perusing other avenues this summer. Michelle and Jeni, you will be missed.

So we hope you will have a glass of Champaign, join in the fun by voting and of course by playing our challenge this week...The design team will be showing off their RED CARPET DESIGNER DRESSES and we invite you to join in.

Who are you wearing?

I will be Rhianna this week.
This dress actually reminds me of some weddingsinvitations I made a few years back. I cut out roses just like these in the bottom right coner of the invitations.
I love those roses and I have come to like Rhianna better and better. She is a though girl with a lot of attitude. And she looks like a millon dollars in this dress.

Here is this weeks Sketch and my Creation:

I don't make many blue cards so I guess it was about time I tried. I got this beautiful DP from my mom and just had to try it.
The fab girl here is from D' Amore Allure and is called Sadies floral hat. You can find it here.

I colored her with Watercolor Pencils and poped her up on foamdots. I stamped some texts here and there and and added some ribbons, laces, gems and pearls.

This fab flowers are a mix of primas, metal flowers and mulberry roses. I have topped them off with some clear tiny beads that I have just glued on.
I teared of some bits and pices according to the sketch and sewed the crisscross with some thin ribbon and placed some leftover scrappaper behind it. And of course I found a place for my all time favorite heartcharm!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Wanted - Dead or Alive

What a fantastic Dance Party we had last week. It was so much fun! Thank you to all who attended and for all your wonderful links, comments, dance moves and card entries.

It is BBQ-time at the Midnight Madness this week! Watch your eyebrows 'cause this might get HOT!

I know that I should have been offering you my best BBQ-recepie, but I just don't have one. I am the kind of hotdog-burnt-on-the-outside-raw-on-the-inside BBQ-chef.

But luckily we have Craig here in Norway. Craig is of course from the US, but has decided to give his BBQ-knowlegde to us BBQ-challenged norwegians.

So whatever I need for BBQ I will find over at Craigs.

Here is this years BBQ-commersial from the biggest meatproducer in Norway. It sums up the Norwegian BBQ-skills pretty good.

But, since we have a BBQ-theme at MMSC this week, I was quite fitting that I made a Westerncard I think.

Life can take some unexpected turns once in a while. You know - like one minute you are riding your rocking horse having a blast, and then you spend a few minutes with a mean norwgian woman and suddendly you are on a Wanted poster. Poor little Ryan - he did not see that one comming.....

Ryan here is from Wags n' Wiskars and used to be a cute little guy. I altered the stamp so that it looks a bit like an old drawing. I have painted him with Distress Ink that I have added lots of water to so that it looks a bit faded.

The Wanted poster is one that I found on the net. Did a little photshopwork on it and sprayed it with Distress Ink, torn it, embossed it, let the horse walk all over it (well I would have if I had a horse!).

I had some string and some woodbeads that I tangeled (I have no idea what that word might mean) up along the side. I am not sure what it is supposed to look like.

We had a blast at the Danceparty last week! I loved to see all your outfits!
Here are our stars from last weeks Sketch Challenge:

Black and white for DS

There was a big disco party over at Midnight Madness last night, so this was the perfect day to play with the drunken stampers challenge - or maybe it should have been the hangover stampers challenge? *LOL*

The Drunken Stampers was very stylish in their all black and White so I just had to play!

Her is what I came up with.

This very goodlooking lady was an image I found on the fabulous internet. I love internet! I cut her out twice and put one of them on foamdots so that she has a shadow. Then she got a pearl earring.
The DP is selfmade, or almost - it is a photoshopbrush I got from Computer Arts Magazine.

Flowers are from Stempelglede, cut out with a punch. I have added some leafs that I got from my aunt Wenche, just distressed them with Black Soot Distress Ink. Then I added some pearls and beads and stuff.

The butterflies are also from my aunt Wenche. I have covered them with stickles so that they have a nice sparkle. This don't show much on the photo though.

I have to show you something else. You us catlovers - we just have to show the world pictures of our amazingly talented or beautiful or whatever animals. Well, I am no better than everybody else, so here is some catphotos ;o)

I try to sort out all my scrappapers so that it can go to recycling, so I bought a box just for that purpose. Lucas thought that was a great idea because he could just about fit his sligtly overweight body into this box - aaaaah happiness ;o)

Stella does not really like to be enclosed in any way, but if there is some catgoodis to find - then she will find it - no matter where it might be - like in my garbagebin.....

The worst thing about this is that it was just the leftover wrapping from the catgoodis she had already eaten that was in the bin.... thats a big downer! All that work for nothing!

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a great day and please come back!

WOW, That was a long post, but there is so much to say!

So much fun going on!

I went far beyond my comfortzone this week. Green is not really my color - but hten again, what is my color? Anyway, my mom bought me this beautiful green paper from Basic Grey, and just because she is so sweet that she buys me paper I had to make a card in her honour.

I think it turned out ok.

I used this beautiful stamp from Penny Black. I love their flowers. This one is from the Allegro-set.

I am quite proud of my self, because I have not used Distress ink at all on this card. I have used chalk on the egdes and to make the background paper. I stamped a "Happy Birthday" stamp from Stempelglede all over a white paper with Wersamark, and then I rubbed chalk over it.
Looks great heh?

Priscilla sent me this fab pearlswirl! Thank you so much Priscilla. It is actually larger than this, but I cut it so that I can use it on many cards ;o)

I am entering this card to the following challenges
Simon says - Birthday
Crafty Ann - Anything goes
Stamp Something - Birthday
Whoopsi Daisy - As you like it
Totally Gorjuss - Pink and Green
Crafty Cardmakers - Distressing

No put your partydress on and hit the floor!
It is dancingtime!
