Sensational Saturday with Sugar Creek Hollow

Hello and welcome to another Sensational Saturday with Sugar Creek Hollow!
Today we are challenged to use lace or to use the faux lace techique on our cards.
I did the cowardversion and went for real lace, but looking at some of my DT sisters creations I must admit that I regreat that chois.

Anyway, for my card I used the Silent night digi. It is so beautiful that it does make a card on it's own. But is could not resist some flowers, and then there was this lace challenge too *LOL*

Do you like to use lace or do you find it challengeing? Have fun and come play with us!

BTW - it is my birthday today, so my family is here to visit and I am eating cake ;o)

Have a great Saturday!

Thank you again Jeni for your wonderful prize :)

I have been playing with this supercute little bookworm from Robyns Fetish. Some of you may know that I am bit over normal interested in books.
So he was an obvious choise for me.
I did dream my self away making this card. So this little bookworm lives in the old library of Alexandria, not the new one, but the old one that burned down some 1600 years ago. That is why he is placed on a background of hieroglyphs - don't show on the photo, but they are there. He is surrounded by old maps and old writings - and I am pretty sure that the book he is reading right here on this image is the long lost book of Aristoteles - "La Comedia".
Oh he is such a lucky little bookworm! I am so jealous of him!

Well ok - I will stop now ;o)
Run over to the Midnight Madness blog, check out my DT sisters fabolous creations and come play with us!

Sensational Saturday

It is time for another Sensational Saturday with Sugar Creek Hollow. This week we have used either the Christmas Cardinal image or the Primitive Sheep image.
I chose the Christmas Cardinal but since this is not a bird found in Norway I took some artistic freedom towards his color. I think he is supposed to be red. I hope this pretty little bird will forgive me.

Now check out my DT sisters awsome creations! You can find them all here.

Have a great saturday and thanks for stopping by!

Sensational Saturday with Sugar Creek Hollow

This week the DT over at Suger Creek Hollow got a colorchallenge; Early Espresso (dark brown), River Rock (sand/tan) and Baja Breeze (bluish-green). Who comes up withe these names I wonder, what happened to blu, brown and beige? Well, well - i sure sounds fancy *LOL*

I am in love with this image of the iceskates! You just have to try it! It is so fun to work with - does not really need a lot of coloring and it just fits any type of winter/christmascards I think.

This time I printed the image twice and then I cut out the skates in one of them and popped them up on foamdots.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. Don't forget to stop by the Sugar Creek Hollow Shop and get your hands on this lovely image, but do also check out the Sugar Creek Hollow DT blog and see what my talented DT sisters have come up with!

Cats and hats

Halloween is not a big event here in Norway, but I do see that my stack of halloween cards are growing. Here is the latest addition. It is made with "priscillastyles" latest digi Witch hat cat.

The DP is homemade. The flowers is some that I got from my Aunt Wenche. I have colored them with Distress Ink "Dusty Concord" and added some Lavender Stickles. There is all in all wuite a lot of stickles going on here..., not only stickls, there are gems and pearls and beads to! It is really a sparkeling Halloweencard!

The image is colored with watercolor pencils. This cat is very cute, but not as cute as my cats of course *LOL*

Thanks for stopping by.
I will have to go outside and rescue what can be rescued in my garden. The weatherforcast says heavy wind and lots, and lots of rain tomorrow. There is a possibility for a flood. Could be interesting!

But I was not to worried. I knew that I had friday off, so I had planned to catch up with all my DT commitments then. What happened instead was that I had to rush one of my cats to the vet. He had 13 stiches on his stomack and loads of shots. He did not do very good for a while, but now he is back on his feet, happy as ever.
Anyway, this busy days,, and the feeling of always beeing late inspired me to make this card. I was of course late with it.... *LOL*
