I did not make a christmascard for this challenge - I had just been decorating my livingroom for advent so I was in a very purple mood and stayed with the theme.
The butterfly is from Layers of Colors the Flutterscent set  that I got from Laura for my birthday. Thank you so very much Laura!
The purple ribbon looks blue in the picture, but it has the most amazing purple color! I added some bits and pieces of different papers and the doilie is one I got from Tracy - thank you so much!

Now run over to the Midnight Madness blog and play with us! Show us your holliday goodies and the things that are the must have for creating the holiday spirit!

Sensational Saturday with Sugar Creek Hollow

Welcome to another Sensational Saturday with Sugar Creek Hollow!
I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!
For this weeks challenge we were to use the Faux Barn Board technique. I did try it, but did not like the final result so I did it over again and stopped after the first step ;o) I kind of liked this dark wood-look. When it was dry I also added some small strokes of gold, but it does not show well in the photo.
I used the Vintage Postage Stamp again. Really love that image. So does a few of my DT sisters.
Go check out the DT blog and see all the amazing creations they have made using wood.

Thanks for stopping by!

This is a card I have made for the PS DT. I used my all time favorite Priscillastyles image - the corset.
I just LOVE this image!

 I added some small butterflies to the flowers and covered them with stickles. I also added some stickles to the roses. The corestimage was dry embossed - I LOVE my Cuttelbug! I dry emboss everything now! *LOL*

 There is also some small butterflies at the side of the image. It don't show to well  on the image, but they sparkle as well.

At the bottom I added some small white roses and some black hearts over the lace. Underneaht the lace there is a stip of orange ribbon.

This months sponsor is The Paper Temptress - and I can tell you that that is just the perfect name for her store... I just cant belive all the gorgeous papers she has.

For this card I have used the gold sparkle, the white diamond and the emerald stardust cardstock. They are so gorgeous! Pictures can NEVER do them justice!
I did dry emboss the emerald cardstock. I also did dry emboss the corner of the white diamond - it does not show very well cause it got hidden a bit under the lace. Can anyone tell that I have got a Cuttelbug? I dry emboss everything now! I love it!

I have used Priscillas lovely oil-lamp digi. This is such a lovely image and it is so versatile - it can be used in so many occasions. I just saw a great love card made with this image. You can see it here at Maxines blog.

 We have TWO monthly sponsors!!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I am not usually the one to make a pink card, but sometimes pink is perfect. And when it is time to celebrate a newborn baby girl - well then even I will go pink! *LOL*
This card is made for some friends of mine who finally got their baby - they have struggeled for so many years, I do not know about anyone who deserves to be parents more than these to lovely people.
So this is my big warm Welcome to the world to
little Signe Elise
and a big huge CONGRATULATIONS to
Lene and Kjetil!
I am so very, very happy for you!
My card is made with papers from the Paper Temptress who is our monthly sponsor for November.
I have used the White Diamond cardstock, witch is the most fantastic cardstock I have EVER laid my hands on. It sparkles so beautifully you would never know. I have dressed up this picture in Photoshop but still - no photo can do this paper justice.
I have also used some lovely vellum. It is a while since I ordered this, so I don't remember the name of the color. Sorry about that. Anyway - its gorgeous! Finally I have used some black velvet paper. I love black, but when i got this paper I was in love - this truly is a touch and feel paper - it has a soft, smooth surface - I want to take this paper to bed with me!
I also want to show you something amazing that arrived in my mailbox the other day.
I have got a gift that is out of this world. I do not know what I have done to deserve this, but I will be forever grateful to the amazing lady who gave this to me.
Can you belive this?
I have no words!
Thank you so very much!
