When you wish upon a star

Simon Says Stamp and Show came with a new challenge today, and I was so disappointed when I saw that the theme was "stars". I don't use stars, so that was a real downer.
Then I was chatting with Lovely Linda on Facebook. I told her about the theme and said that it really did not do anything for my mojo. Then I said " I can't remember that I have ever used stars...." and Lovely Linda says "Did you use a star on you CAS Christmas cards?".... and she was right of course, I used a star just a few weeks ago.... is it the age that is catching up with me? Alzheimers light or something? Anyway, it did get my mojo flowing, and even though this is the third or fourth attempt on using this star, I think that I finally got there :)

Thank you Linda for getting me back on track!

I don't remeber where this star is from, probably Kreativ Hobby, but I have had it for years. But this year is the first that I have managed to use it. Isn't that weird. You buy a stamp, you love it, but then you don't know how to use it and it ends up in your drawer... Happens way to often if you ask me :)

My sentiment is from Stempelglede and my flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. And then I added some small pearls in between the flowers.

I covered the stars with Cinamon Stickles and added a little pearl in the center. It does not show very good in the picture.

At the side I hand stiched with a ribbon and added a TH metal charm saying "Wish".

Angelic christmas

Here is another christmascard I made tonight.
I am not really fond of angels, they give me some bad assosiations, but this stamp is gorgeous, so I decided to give it a go anyway. It is a pretty simple card, easy on postage :) Some scappringfriends of mine was making fun of my cards earlier, saying that it would be cheaper to take two weeks off work, drive around the country staying at hotels and hand deliver my christmascards, than it would be to mail them..... I really don't understand what they are talking about *LOL*

I am also ready for advent. I have decorated my candles and is looking forward to light the first one tomorrow.

Dear Santa

Dear Santa - please bring me lots and lots of
 craftinggear for christmas!
I have been very, very nice! :)

I was so happy with beeing chosen to be among the Top Tree over at Simon Says Stamp and Show last week that I just had to enter this week also :)

This week the theme was to use tickets. I made these ones my self and I am pretty happy with them.

My santa is a from a digital sheet that I bought on etsy. He was in color but I changed the colors to sephia. I think it looks much better!

My workdesk and a messy house....

How am I supposed to craft? They step in my stickles, they eat the feathers and they play with my pearls....

Today Lucas came home happy as a fiddle with a mouse in his mouth. The mouse was alive and not jet hurt, so it took a run for it, under my coffetable, under my sofa, under the rug..... It was quite the chase to catch it and let it loose. And this is what my livingroom looked like when it was all over.

Lucas was very frustrated that we had taken his toy away from him. This is not a happy cat!

Want to see what else is happening out there in the crafting (and mousechasing) world?

WOYWW #128

What's on my workdesk? Meet Stella :) She is looking very determind to make sure that there are no crafting going on. The best way to do that, is to sit on it!

Here is what she is sitting on:

I have wanted to make my own giftwrapping paper and make fabolous looking gifts for christmas for a long time, but when christmas comes I end up wrapping the gifts in a hurry. This year things are going to change! Here is a giftwrapping paper that I have made. I used just plain Kraftpaper and stamped on it. I think the text stamp is called French script, but I don't know where is is from. Not sure where the other stamp is from either. I have never used it before, but I really liked it.

I used Distress Ink Walnut Stain for the stamping.

And here is my finished gift

I see that I should have been more careful when wrapping so that the pattern came at the centre. I will pay more attention next time :)

So what is on you workdesk today? Come join the WOYWW and see all the fabolous things going on in the crafting world.

So feminine

I love to feel that my mojo is on it's way back. I still have to fight a bit to find it, but I am winning more
battles than I am loosing :) So that is a good thing!

Today I decided to play with Simon Says Stamp and Show. This is a challenge that I have not played with for a long time. This week it is all about the feminine.

I really like to make these little bookcards, and now that my new best friend is called Score-pale it is so easy to make them!

I have never made a christmascard in brown and pink before, but I really like the soft, feminine look this gave. The girl on the image is so presious and pretty.

Grungy Monday #26

I am back! Like in back crafting again. Today I have done more than these last two months togheter I think. I love that I have some inspiration again.

Christmas is comming way to soon now, and it is just a few weeks until Tim Holtz is starting his 12 tags of christmas again (I sure hope he will do them this year also), so I decided that I needed some practice, and what better way to get that than to play with Grungy Monday :)

Here is my tag, inspired by Tim Holtz 7th tag of christmas, 2009.

My santa is from Paper Inspirations - I love this guy! He is so festive :)

I added some Fired Brick Distress Stickles and some Frosted Lace stickles to his tophat.

A key and a heart :)

I have also used stamps from Tim Holtz and Great impressions. I don't remember where the snowflake came from. The "God Jul" stamp is from Kreativ Hobby.

I used Fryed Burlap, Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain and Barn Door Distress ink to make the background.

Thanks for stopping by!

More Christmascards

I am on a roll! Or on an asemby line... Anyway, today I have made 14 of these CAS Christmascards.

WOYWW #127

I have not played with WOYWW for a very long time. These last months there has not happened a lot on my workdesk either, but today it was so messy that I had to show :) I also was a little inspired by Bridget

Look at this mess! I have all my Distress inks out, working on some ideas for CAS christmascards. It also involves my Cuttelbug.
I am trying out this design in different colors and trying to make it work. In this picture you can also see some ornaments I have made, and a couple of cards I have got from Lovely Linda - I have them on display Linda, bot the picture Ron took and your Ugly card :)
I am playing with stamps from Layers of Colors, Distress ink and Tim Holtz embossingfolders.

Here you can see some of the trial and errors in different colors, and also one of the books I am reading at the moment. I usually read 3 or 4 books at the same time.

I am also working on making my own giftwrapping paper for christmas and testing out how to wrap and decorate my presents this year :)

Here is a little knitting project, not quite finished yet, but I will show you when it is.

So that is what is going on on my workdesk this week. I love to see so much happening again, 'cause it has been a boring place for a long time.

Thanks for stopping by!

I have been wanting to make these books for quite a while. I made one earlier, but it was big, and it was impossible to get the folding to look good. But Marcus got me a Score Pal for my birthday so now it is a walk in the park making these folds :)  I see quite a few of these books in my future *LOL*
