Grungy Monday #5 Shall we grow old together?

I have not been able to play with the Grungy Monday challenge for a couple of weeks, but finally I found the time for it. I don't make a lot of LO's, have not made one for...... uuuh 6 years. I don't take a lot of photos, so there is not much to make LO's of. But for this challenge and this Tim Holtz technique it was the right medium.
I have used this cool DP from Bo Bunny called Timepiece gears.
The flowers are all from WOC, the lace is from Kort og Godt and the purple ribbon is actually a part of my weddingdress.
The butterflys are from Kort og Godt and the steampunk metal and "Journey" metal tag is from Tim Holtz.

I took one of our wedding photos and printed it in sephia, then I rubbed over it with Vintage Photo Distress Ink and tore up the corners - just in general gave it a hard time *LOL*

For my dimesion I used this set of rings with a down on. This actually came as decoration on one of the cakes for our wedding.
I am going to add some text to this later on. I is going to say:
"Shall we grow old togheter?".

Thanks for stopping by!

Challenges:
Grungy Monday - Challenge #5: A new dimension
4 Crafty Chicks - Challenge #35: Distressing.
AiFactory - 1E, SIO - Challenge #078: Anything goes.

MMSC#101 Counting down to 200 ;o)

It is my favorite time of the week again! It is early tuesday morning here in Sunny Norway and it is time for a new week of
Midnight Madness!
You know summer just came suddendly last week - we just skipped spring and went right for summer. Normally the trees don't get green until mid may, but they are already bursting. We have had warmer weather here in Norway this week than in Spain.... that is unusual I tell you!
But who really cares about the weather - we have sketches to follow and cards to make ;o)
Last week was sketch number 100 - now we start the countdown to 200.
As always it is your choice:

Enter one style or both this week.
Just have fun and come play with us :)

For this weeks card I have used both image and digital paper from Studio313
This lovely cup of cocoa is part of a set of digital stamps called Mellow out. I used the precolored one. I just love it when I can have them precolored... no hairpulling for me trying to color...
I added a strip of black ribbon and a beltbuckle to the side of this card, but it looked so boring that I had to dress it up a little bit. So I added a bow, and some flowers, and some more flowers, and some pearls and a diamond...

This big heart is one that I got from my mum - Thank you mum!

Thank you so much for stopping by. Now go an check out what my talented DT sisters have come up with for your inspiration.

For my card this week I have used the Stone Wall Garden from Doodle Pantry. I really would love to have a garden like this - I am glad I can have it on my cards ;o)

I have colored the image with just about everything in my stash - watercolorpencils, my Derwent inktense colorpencils, chalk, ballpointpens and markers. It was not easy to get the colorintesety that I wanted, but I think it came out ok in the end.

I have not gone wild with the flowers for a while so this was a fun sketch ;o) I have made and order with Wild Orchids for some more flowers but it will take some time to get here, so I had to use leftovers.

I had to make my own pearlswirl. I used some apricotcolored pearls for this.

Grungy Monday #2 If you haven't got it - fake it!

It is the second week of the cool Grungy Monday challenge over at Studio L3.
This weeks Tim Holtz technique can be seen here.

I have used some gorgeous papers from the Paper Temptress for this card. And I have a little bit of trouble with it comming out almost CAS. Weird!
I stamped my backgound with a bg textstamp and then I stamped my LOC butterfly over it.

I tried to make a pretty bow, but I am bowchallenged so I could not do it and ended up with just a knot - as usual.
But I was able to tread some beads on a string so that I could have some goodlooking bling ;o)

Thanks for stopping by!

MMSC#98 Cherry blossoms

It is tuesday again!
I have to go to a seminar with my job today, not really happy about it, but don't really see any way out of it. I don't think they will see "have to stay home and craft" as an acceptable excuse....
Life is just sooo hard some times *LOL*
I like having luxuaryproblems like that!

Please help us welcome our two new team members
Silke and America!

As always we give you two sketches, one fancy and one CAS - it is your choise! How cool is that?

GCSP07: Once in a Blue Moon

Over at the Gingersnap Creations blog they have a once in a blue moon challenge. This means that you can choose any of their previous challengethemes for your creation.

This gave me the opportunity to visit some old "friends", Aristoteles and Plato. I say "friends" because I was not very fond of them while studying them, but they have grown on me *lol*. Now all the tears I shedded when I did not understand is forgotten and they are both a fond memory from my time at univeristy.
This painting is made by Rafael, another "friend" of mine, so this was truly walking down memory lane for me....
I think that in this painting they are conspiering about the future. They are making plans for how to make generations of literature Ph.d students go nuts over the fact that Aristotele's book "Comedia" is missing. I think that this moment, captured by Raphael, is when they dicided to destroy the book so that they would be ensured a good laugh all through their afterlife, wherever they would spend that. I think they were pretty evil men!
So how long did that take for me to go from thinkin of them as "friends" to calling them evil..... 30 sec? Well, I think that this is a good illustration of my relationship to these two great thinkers;
I love them, but I sure hate them too *LOL*

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Linda over at the Studio L3 blog has started a new challenge. It is all Tim Holtz inspired so it is going to be a lot of fun!

The first challenge was to be inspired by this tag and technique.
Here is my take on it.

Background: Layers of Colors "Flourishes" art stencil. Sprayed with Distress Ink Walnut stain mixed with Magicals from Lindys Stamp Gang. Colored with Vintage photo and Walnut stain.
Rose, leaf and pearls from Kort og Godt
Letters printed with font called Argor Got Scaqh
